Crouton’s adoption was very special for this young family. Michelle’s son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and she has been searching for the right puppy for her family for quite some time. She is thrilled to have adopted a dog that is helping researchers develop treatments for her son and other young children struggling with this debilitating disorder (Crouton is an unaffected male). They are looking forward to lots of spoiling and long walks together! In honor of her brother, Michelle’s daughter changed Crouton’s name to —- HERO! We can’t think of a name more fitting. Enjoy each other!
