Anemone (renamed ‘Annie’) has been adopted by Keith and his family. Keith has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and has recently been accepted to a clinical trial treatment made possible by research with dogs that have the same disease. Annie is a an unaffected carrier of Muscular Dystrophy and Keith’s family is very grateful for the opportunity to give her a loving retirement home. Annie and Keith are best friends and Keith tells us of the extra special bond he has with her because they share a DMD gene. Big thanks to the researchers and care staff who took care of Annie and continue to work towards a cure for kids like Keith. Enjoy each other, Keith and Annie!
