Michael, Sarah and their three small children are over the moon about Ritzy! Ritzy is a playful, unaffected female from a colony of dogs being studied for a genetic kidney disease carried by dogs and children. Michael and Sarah had adopted another hero from this colony several years ago who passed away recently at nearly 13 years of age. They shared many beautiful years together, so they decided to bring another sweet hero into their lives. Enter Ritzy who can turn a frown into a smile with just a glance!
“Ritzy has fit into our family so well!,” Sarah said. “She loves running and playing ball with the kids in the backyard and got to enjoy some time with her cousin dog at my sister’s lake house. She is still learning which toys are hers (including baby pacifiers), but she’s doing really well!”
